Bishop Beaderstadt Elected New
Iosco Ministerial Association President
Note: This is a historical article. Pastor Bruce Shields of the
House of Faith Church in East Tawas was elected the new President of IMA in
2023.
19AUG20-Bishop Jan L. Beaderstadt has been elected the new president
of the Iosco Ministerial Association (formerly the Tawas Area Ministerial Association
- TAMA). The election took
place on Tuesday, August 18th, 2020.
Also elected as vice president was Rev. Twila Wiczynski of Living
Water Church in East Tawas. She is the junior past president of TAMA.
Rev. Philip Seitz of Christ Episcopal Church succeeded Rev. Matthew
Carpenter as treasurer. Also, Rev. Kris Kappler of the Tawas Area
United Methodist Church was re-elected as secretary.
Bishop Beaderstadt is a missionary to Africa and Nepal as well as a Bishop with the
Worldwide Anglican Church.
TAMA said "goodbye" to Rev. Matthew Carpenter, who is leaving Grace
Lutheran Church in East Tawas to take a new position in Ohio. He has
served as treasurer of TAMA for the last eight years.
IMA is open to all clergy in Iosco County and even surrounding
counties, and are invited to join for
